Wounded and bleeding after a failed bank robbery, John Fraser (Jason Walker) ducks down alleyways and side streets looking for a place to hide from the police. He finds his 'safe house' in the home of Sharon Baker (Lydia Southwick), a young artist. After a brief struggle, John overpowers Sharon and takes her hostage, hoping to bide his time to think and plan. Unfortunately for John, Sharon is not alone.
Hiding in the bedroom is Brent Hicks (Mark Sartor), Sharon's lover and a detective on the police force. Hearing the commotion in the kitchen, Brent hides in the closet, unsure if Sharon's husband has come home unexpectedly and torn between his own personal safety and confronting the intruder. Just as he decides to rescue Sharon, the last member of the party arrives:
Gary Baker (Bill Hagaman), Sharon's husband and Brent's partner on the police force.
Gary comes home after his flight to Chicago is cancelled. Hoping to drop off his bags and investigate the attempted bank robbery near his house, Gary is confronted by John and taken hostage. What follows is a fierce power struggle between John, Sharon and Gary, who slowly realizes what was really going on before he got home, and that John is not the only other man in the house.
Finally, Brent comes out of hiding and surprises John. The powerplay between the characters has reached a stalemate. A shot is fired. Now it is anyone's bet who will make it out alive.
